Two more human smugglers arrested
LAHORE: Anti-Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of FIA Sunday arrested two more human smugglers. According to Deputy Director, AHTC FIA, Ch Muhammad Ahmed, the arrested human smugglers were identified as Nasir Iqbal and Muhammad Naeem of Lahore. He said the accused had fraudulently extorted Rs 100,000 and Rs 2, 50,000 for foreign employment visas.
FIRs have been registered against them. Separately, a passenger, Usman Baig of Jhelum, arrived from Istanbul on emergency passport on charges of illegal entry into Turkey. The passenger was handed over to AHTC.
169 outlaws arrested: Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) arrested 169 culprits, including 77 POs, and rendered help to 2,616 commuters. PHP teams recovered 707-litre liquor, 10,681-gram charas, 30 pistols, three rifles, three Kalashnikovs, four guns and 700 bullets from the possession of the arrested criminals.
