Pakistan finish fourth in Asian Under-19 Beach Volleyball

KARACHI: Pakistan on Sunday finished fourth when they lost to Kazakhstan 0-2 in the match for the third place at the Asian Under-19 Beach Volleyball Championship at Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.
“It’s great in my opinion,” former Pakistan captain Naseer Ahmed said. “At least they reached the semi-finals on their beach debut.“I hope next time Pakistan will do much better,” the professional spiker said.Pakistan had lost to Indonesia 0-2 in the semi-finals.Indonesia defeated Thailand 2-1 in the final to emerge as the champions.
Pakistan team consisting of Zarnab Khan and Afaq Khan on Saturday defeated Laos 2-0 and strong Oman 2-1 to make it to the last four.On Friday Pakistan had beaten Cambodia and Qatar with an identical margin of 2-0.
