LAHORE “ Thousands of people, including women and men, visited the Made in Faisalabad
Exhibition 2018, which began at Lahore Expo Center on Saturday .
The expo, organised by the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Jang Media Group, attracted thousands of visitors who attended the event to buy their favorite lawns, ready-to-wear clothes, shoes, bags and home accessories on a special discount.
Colorful and elegant designs of cloths charmed the buyers who literally rushed to various stalls soon after opening of the expo in the morning. Leading brands of Faisalabad, one of the main industrial hubs of the country, are showcasing their high quality products at the event. Over 44 different stalls have been set-up in the exhibition. The two-day expo was inaugurated by Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and Industries and Commerce Minister Sheikh Alla-u-din. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Ambassador of Nepal Sewa Lamsal Adhikari, Ambassador of Indonesia Iwan Suyudhie Amri, FCCI President Shabir Hussain Chawla, Senior Vice President Farooq Yousuf, Chairman FIDMC Mian Muhammad Idrees and a large number of industrialists.
Speaking on the occasion, Rana Sanauallah said that Faisalabad was a major industrial city of the country, having a vibrant trade and business community. "Industrialists of Faisalabad have always been on the forefront of development by serving to the core of their heart," he added.
Provincial Minister for Industries Sheikh Alla-u-din said that Faisalabad was known the as the “Manchester of Asia” for its extensive development of textile industry. He said that to promote rapid and planned industrial growth in the city, the government of Punjab had established Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIDMC).
He said that the Punjab government had taken various revolutionary steps to strengthen the local industry across the province and Tianjin University would prove a great step to protect the local industry. He appreciated the entrepreneurship of the business community of Faisalabad and said that they had played an important role in stabilising the national economy.
Shabbir Hussain Chawla, President FCCI, said that Faisalabad was the third major industrial hub of the country. He appreciated the entrepreneurship of the business community of Faisalabad and said that they had played an important role in the development of the economy. Talking to media, Ambassador of Indonesia Iwan Suyudhie Amri said the event was a good opportunity for manufacturers to put on display their quality products, which were famous worldwide. "The Indonesian people like textile products of Pakistan," he observed.
