Couple shot dead in Swat

MINGORA: A man and his wife were gunned down when they were going to a court in Gulkada area in Saidu Sharif in Swat district on Saturday.

According to police, Zeeshan and Ruqia Bibi were going to court in an auto-rickshaw when the accused Hameed and Aftab Ali opened fire on the three-wheeler.

The police said that the accused also stabbed both the occupants with daggers. As a result, Zeeshan and Ruqia Bibi were killed on the spot.

A relative of the slain couple Naveed Khan nominated Hameed and Aftab Ali in the first information report.

The police arrested one of the accused Hameed, who is stated to be the brother of slain woman. Motive behind the dual killing was stated to be a domestic dispute.
