In another event of switching political loyalty before General Election 2018, three Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H) leaders joined the Pak Sarzameen Party on Saturday, leaving behind their over 20-year-long struggle in the ethno-nationalist party that has never been able to secure a considerable mandate.

MQM-H Vice-Chairman Shamshad Ghori and Central Executive Council members Kashif Mughal and Raees announced joining the PSP in a press conference along with Mustafa Kamal at the latter's headquarters, Pakistan House.

Ghori said he was convinced of Kamal's political philosophy and would do his best to contribute to it.

PSP Chairman Kamal said the message of his party had reached every nook and corner of the country and people were joining it. "Our dream of uniting all ethnicities and communities is coming true. We don’t want to make more enemies of the Muhajirs."

He said those who claimed to be representatives of the Muhajir community did nothing for them but gained monetary benefits for themselves. He added that the community had become more aware than it was before and would not let the same people exploit them anymore. "The MQM brand has become so infamous that whatever allegations are levelled against it, they appear true," he commented, referring to the party's alleged involvement in target killings, land grabbing and other crimes.

"I have no personal enmity with the MQM but with its modus operandi."

Talking about MQM-P Bahadurabad group leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui's statement about women close to his rival PIB group leader Farooq Sattar, Kamal said Siddiqui made inappropriate remarks about women and it was to his own detriment. PSP President Anis Kaimkhani said his party had rejected the preliminary delimitations in Karachi and had filed a complaint with the Election Commission of Pakistan to resolve the issue.
