Pakistan continue unbeaten run in Asian Squash Men C’ship

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan continued their unbeaten run in the Asian Squash Men Team Championship as they beat Sri Lanka 3-0 in the second match of the Pool on Thursday.
Tayyab Aslam prevailed over Gihan Suwaris 11-2, 11-5, 11-5 to put Pakistan 1-0 up with Amaad Fareed getting the better of Ravindu Lajsiri 12-10, 11-4, 11-5 in the second match.
Asim Khan then made it 3-0, winning against Druvinka Perera 11-5, 11-6, 11-9.Pakistan have now qualified for the knockout stages of the event.
Pakistan women got their first win of the event when they beat Thailand 3-0.Madina Zafar got the better of Anantana Prasertratanakul 11-4,11-8,7-11,11-5. Faiza Zafar defeated Tuddaw Thamronglarp 11-7, 11-1, 11-1. Riffat Khan beat Suvipa Kitvijarn 11-2, 11-3, 11-7.
