Musharraf to be back soon: APML
ISLAMABAD: The All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) President, Dr Muhammad Amjad, on Monday, while addressing a press conference, said that party Chairman, Gen (R) Pervez Musharraf will soon return to the country, will go public and face the courts, but the government should ensure provision of foolproof security to him.
With that he may not be restrained from moving around in the country and there may be no restrictions on his freedom of speech as well, Dr Amjad said. He said that the APML, in its scheduled meeting on March 21 in Dubai, will decide on the date of his return to the country and the city where he will land.
Dr Amjad dispelled the impression that someone helped Musharraf going out of country and said there is no truth in it. Further more, no one has any role in his return to the country, he added.
Musharraf will be inside the country before caretaker setup and will lead the PAI political alliance under his leadership. APML workers and leadership will welcome him back in the country with full enthusiasm.
Dr Amjad said that during the tenure of General (R) Musharraf, this country prospered and its economy grew. Successive governments formed after his tenure just looted and plundered this country and purchased expensive properties outside the country.
