PHC seals 27 fake treatment centres in Lahore

LAHORE: The Punjab Healthcare Commission has closed down 27 fake treatment centres of quacks in the city, and initiated proceedings against them.
According to a press release issued here on Monday, the PHC teams sealed 27 businesses of quacks in different parts of the city and its adjoining areas. These comprised 19 quacks, five fake dentists, two hakeems and one bone-setter working illegally.
“The PHC has sealed more than 7,950 businesses of quacks and imposed a fine of Rs61.5 million so far,” added the PHC spokesperson.
