This refers to the editorial, ‘Operation 90’ (March 12). The editorial was a bold and candid piece of journalism. The operation by the Rangers is no less than a watershed in the history of Pakistan.
Governments in the past, despite being aware of the presence of armed criminals taking political cover, did not take action simply to stay in power. One hopes the mistakes of the past will not be repeated and criminals irrespective of their political affiliations will be taken to task.
