CHAKWAL: The Punjab Chief Minister’s health adviser Khawaja Suleman Rafiq Saturday said reservations of some religious groups regarding the 21st amendment would be readdressed.
Talking to reporters after attending the second health conference organized by Pakistan Medical Association of district Chakwal at district council hall, the adviser said the National Action Plan is the need of the hour, and federal and provincial governments have been activated to eliminate terrorism from society.
He said organization involved in sectarian violence would not be spared.
EDO (health) Dr Alam Geer Nawabi, President PMA (Chakwal chapter) Dr Zahid Malik, Dr Ishtiaq ul Rehman and others were also present.
To a question, the advisor said the Punjab government would conduct free, fair and transparent local bodies election on September 20th as directed by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
He said ban on the recruitment of doctors in Punjab has been lifted and all vacancies of doctors especially in rural areas would be filled very soon.
He said the budget for medicines of district hospitals would be enhanced and specialist doctors would be appointed at district headquarters hospital Chakwal.
The advisor also attended the second health conference and urged the doctors to work for the betterment of society.
