Cache of arms seized, three held in Hangu
HANGU: The police seized a cache of arms and Afghan currency and arrested three alleged terrorists in Malikabad locality here, an official said.
Talking to reporters, District Police Officer (DPO) Asif Gohar said that following the reports of the secret agency, the police party raided a house in Malikabad locality falling in the limits of the City Police Station and seized a mortar gun, 28 shells, 34 fuses, a Kalashnikov rifle, two pistols and 16, 32,000 Afghan currency.
The law-enforcers also arrested three alleged terrorists identified as Iftikhar, Noor Shad Ali and Shaukat.
The held persons were shifted to the police station concerned where further investigation was underway. DPO Asif Gohar said that the weapons were meant to use in terror activities in the area.
