ISLAMABAD: Former federal minister Salim Saifullah Khan has condemned the hurling of shoe on former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and ink attack on Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif.
In a statement issued here, Salim Saifullah Khan said our society need to have tolerance and patience. He said, “This should be condemned at all cost. Political differences aside, such acts cannot be endorsed at any pretext.”
He termed the incident unfortunate and condemned it in strongest words. He said, “These acts are disgusting acts and totally unjustified. Under no pretext can we project these despicable acts as sane or acceptable.”
He said this incident was extremely shameful and against the ethics of a civilised society. The former minister said that another similar shameful incident took place on March 10 where ink was thrown on Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif while he was addressing a workers’ convention. He said that if such incidents continued then any leader could become a victim.Salim Saifullah Khan said that we all should have to bring positive changes in our behaviour so that everyone’s honour could be protected.
