CHITRAL: The residents of Broz, Gahiret and Oyone on Sunday staged a sit-in to demand electricity supply from the Golen Gol project. The sit-in near Goldeh would continued for three days and the elders announced to block the Chitral-Peshawar road on March 14 if their demands were not met. Speaking on the occasion, former MNA Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali and others criticised the Peshawar Electric Supply Company for ignoring these villages. “There is no logic in ignoring these villages when there is surplus electricity,” said the Maulana, adding, the prime minister had announced to provide electricity to the entire district from the Golen Gol project.
