HARIPUR: The doctors, paramedics and other staff members of the District Headquarters Hospital here on Saturday observed token strike against delay in payment of 10 percent allowance.
Hospital staff said that the management of DHQ Hospital Haripur has been getting Rs16 million from International Medical College, Abbottabad, as capitation fee under public-private partnership for the last several years against the services its doctors and staff provide to the students of the medical college.
However, the hospital administration has failed to pay the 10 percent of allowance to doctors and other staff for the last 10 months, they said.
Doctors, nurses, paramedics and janitorial staff of the 210-bed hospital observed token strike suspending their work for over half an hour.
