A 40-year-old man was found slaughtered in his flat in the Old Anarkali police limits on Friday.
Police have removed the dead body to morgue and registered an FIR No. 113/15 against the unidentified accused. The deceased was identified as Faiz Mohammad, a resident of Faisalabad. He worked as a clerk of a lawyer and broker.
The victim lived at a rented flat in Rasala Bazaar. He used to talk regularly with his family. On March 10, his mobile went off. His family tried for many times at his number but of no use. On March 13, Ali Raza, son of the victim, came to Lahore. When he reached his flat, he found it locked. He called the owner of the house and broke the door. Inside, they saw the victim in a pool of blood. His jugular vein was cut with a knife.
They informed the police. Police collected the forensic evidences from the scene and registered the statements of the eye-witnesses.
Gang busted: Missri Shah Police claimed to have arrested two members of Hakeem Dacoit Gang and recovered one motorcycle, eight mobile-phones and illegal weapons from their possession on Friday. The accused were identified as Adeel Abbass alias Hakeem and Sabir Butt. They were arrested by a special police team. The police team raided a hideout on a tip-off. They arrested the said accused. Police said the accused were history-sheeters and five cases had been traced against them. They have confessed eight bids of crimes during the investigation.
