JUSTICE Muhammad Farrukh Irfan Khan of the Lahore High Court Friday declined to hear petition against election of PML-N MPA Khawaja Imran Nazir, citing personal reasons.
The judge referred it to Chief Justice to fix it before another bench.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf member Yasir Gillani had challenged the election. He alleged that Imran Nazir contested the election for provincial assembly PP-139, Lahore III on a bogus degree and won it.
He said a person of Kh Imran calibre did not qualify to be MPA under articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution. He requested to declare the election of Kh Imran as null and void.
