Dacoit killed as accomplices try to get him released

BAHAWALPUR: A dacoit was killed when his accomplices tried to get him released from police custody near Chak 10/BC on Wednesday night.
Abbasnagar police were bringing dacoit Shabbir alias Shabbira back to the police station after recovery of weapons used in murders and dacoities when his five accomplices opened fire on police to get him released from the custody. Police also retaliated. As a result, the dacoit was killed on the spot. According to police, the dacoit was killed by the firing of his accomplices. The killed dacoit was involved in 12 cases of murder, dacoity and attempt to murder.
