A taxi car, carrying six passengers, was on way to Dir from Chitral when it collided with a motorcycle and fell into the river. “The rescuers managed to recover bodies of four of the passengers. The search continues for the bodies of two persons including that of a child,” said an eyewitness.
The deceased were identified as Tanvir, Samiur Rehman, Nizamuddin and his wife. The two missing persons were identified as Mufti Mehmood and four-year-old Fahimuddin.
The passengers said that the vehicles plying between Dir and Chitral were always in a hurry, causing deadly accidents. They also asked the police authorities not allow cab drivers to carry more than four passengers.
