Islamabad: On the occasion of the International Day of Women the Embassy of France in Pakistan screened the documentary, ‘Men and Women.’ directed by Frédérique Bedos the film was screened at the PNCA and attended by men and women from different walks of life. CEO of the NGO, ‘Group Development,’ Valerie Khan Yusufzai, was the moderator of the post-screening discussion.
The documentary provides an overview of the state of gender equality worldwide today. We may think that women’s equality is progressing, but unfortunately this is not the case. Far from clichés, the film ‘Women and Men’ offers a comprehensive look into this situation, by utilising international experts that analyse economic, political, cultural and historical standpoints.
