Two years back, a shocking report demonstrated that the menace of drugs has reached education institutions. A large number of school- and college-going children were found to be either drug addicts or those who would do drugs for ‘fun’. A couple of university students were also reported to be dead due to excessive use of drugs. The easy accessibility of drugs in educational institutes has resulted in drug addiction among young people.
In order to tackle this issue, the authorities concerned should impose restrictions on the trade of drugs, especially in educational institutions. Strict checking should be conducted across all educational institutes so that students abstain from getting involved in this harmful habit. In addition, parents must keep an eye on their children and ensure that they are not using any harmful substance in the name of fun.
