LAHORE: All-Pakistan Inter-University Boxing Championship will start from March 5 at Fast National University.
Ambassador of Portugal, Joao Polu Sabouda Coasta will inaugurate the Championship.
Organizing Secretary, Aoun Abbas Hashmi said that 25 Universities teams from all over the country will participate in the Championship. He said that all arrangement have been finalized in the meeting of the Organizing Committee. He said that 10 weight categories competitions will held inluding 49 Kg, 52 Kg, 56 Kg, 60 Kg, 64 Kg, , 69 Kg, 75 Kg, 81 Kg, 91 Kg and plus 91 Kg. Chairman of Heigher Education Commission, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed will be chief guest on the concluding ceremony on March 8, and give trophies and medals to winning and runner up teams.
Five referees will supervise the Championship comprises, Arshad Javed Qureshi, Ghulam Abbas Patni, Bashir Shuja, Atar Nazir, Mehboob Qureshi and Nasir Chohan.
