Kitchen gardening seminar held

Rawalpindi :A kitchen gardening seminar was organised at Govt. Viqar un Nisa Postgraduate College for Women here on Friday. The Seminar was conducted as part of Chief Minister’s Project of growing vegetable on domestic level. This project is going on under the supervision of department of Agriculture Punjab.

The resource person for the seminar was Syed M. Humayun Tahir, MSC (Hons) Agri. Horticulture kitchen garden convener. Mr. Humayun discussed the importance of kitchen gardening and to adopt organic life style in order to stay healthy. He stressed on the need to check one eating habit and avoid eating junk food. He shared the benefit of vegetables in detail. Growing fresh vegetables at home makes our environment fresh and healthy. It reduces the pressure of urban life and maintains the food budget.

Principle Prof. Dr. Saira Mufti expressed her gratitude to M. Humayun for sharing such valuable information with students and staff members. She also stressed on the need to adopt healthy life style.
