LAHORE: Holi, the festival of colours, marks the advent of the spring season for Hindus across the world. Hindu community celebrated Holi at Krishna Mandir near Ravi Road, Lahore.
Hindu devotees vocalised songs, danced, and threw colours at each other to celebrate one of the biggest and most important festivals of the Hindu culture. Manwar Chand Chairman Pakistan Hindu Welfare Council told The News that each and every participant at the temple was as happy as anyone would be in India.
He said, “Holi depicts love for every religion and for people. We are very thankful to the chief minister and Minister for Minorities Khalil Tahir Sandhu for putting up the banners on Mall Road and wishing us a prosperous Holi.”
