CHARSADDA: A cop was shot dead over a land dispute in Shabqadar tehsil here on Wednesday, police sources said.
Registering a case, Shami Roz reported to the police that his son Samiullah, who was an official of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), was on his way home when Iftikhar and Irfan allegedly shot him dead. The motive behind the killing was stated to be a property dispute.
Taking prompt action, the police arrested the accused, Irfan and Iftikhar, and seized arms used in the crime.Meanwhile, Asad Ali allegedly shot and injured Salman over an old enmity. The injured was rushed to a hospital where his condition was stated to be stable.
