ISLAMABAD: Former president and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari Monday said the PPP did not believe in revenge and leaves the matter to Almighty Allah and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is reaping what he sowed for decades.
Addressing the office bearers and workers from Gujjar Khan who called on him at Zardari House here, he said the time has come to set right all the wrongs done to this society by dictators and their mindset. “Change in the society will come by following the philosophy of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto,” he said.
Zardari paid tribute to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and said that she struggled all her life for a fair Pakistan, whereas people with narrow minds always opposed her. He said that youth will prosper when they get opportunities of employment and peace will come when the education institutions will teach the lesson of humanity. He said Nawaz Sharif had made life impossible for the poor and downtrodden.
The former president said the PPP has offered a young and able leadership to the country. He said the PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari recently demonstrated his leadership qualities in front of the world and pleaded Pakistan's case successfully.
He said the PPP always cherishes its workers and the party had awarded a brave son of Gujjar Khan by appointing him as prime minister of Pakistan. He said that workers should remain ready to take more responsibilities.
Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, the secretary general Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Senator Farhatullah Babar, Sardar Salim Haider and Raja Khurram Pervaiz were also present on the occasion.
