HAFIZABAD: Federal Minster for Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Saira Afzal Tarar has directed the district administration to launch a crackdown on quacks and against those who were selling spurious medicines.
Addressing a meeting of the district administration here on Tuesday, she said that those NGOs who were fleecing the public should be taken to task and their registration should be cancelled. However, she added, those NGOs who were serving the humanity should be patronised and encouraged. She said that quacks were playing with the lives of the people and zero tolerance should be shown towards them. She directed to improve functioning of hospitals to provide better facilities to the ailing humanity.
