This refers to the article ‘Direct voting’ (Feb 23) by Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani. I fully support the ideas of the writer and believe that his suggestions should be adopted at the earliest if we want to pull the entire nation out of this current mess.
As a rule of thumb indirect selection or election for any assembly seat should be stopped. Although we have adopted democracy from the West, we don’t follow the way the West has streamlined it for the benefit of citizens.
