KARACHI: Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar has donated Rs one lakh to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center and a cheque has been received by the JPMC Executive Director Dr. Seemin Jamali. During his visit to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) along with Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, Justice Faisal Arab, Sindh Secretary Health Dr. Fazlullah Pechuho, Dr. Malik Hamidullah from National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) and other officials of the health department, Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar had announced to donate Rs. 1 lakh to the hospital as his "personal" contribution towards provision of better health facilities. “Chief Justice of Pakistan was pleased with our performance during his visit to the hospital and he had told me that he would send Rs. 100,000 to the hospital”, Dr. Seemin said. Terming it a great achievement of the JPMC to provide quality healthcare facilities to the needy and deserving people of Karachi and the rest of Pakistan, Dr. Jamali said the donation from Chief Justice of Pakistan is an expression of his admiration and support to one of the largest tertiary-care public hospitals of Pakistan. “The donation is an honour for the entire staff including doctors, paramedics and nurses and it would help us to work with more dedication,”she added. Dr Jamali said during his visit to JPMC, Justice Mian Saqib Nisar visited the casualty ward of the hospital, inquired about the health facilities from the patients, while he was also shown the ICU of Neurosurgery Department as well as the Cyber Knife facility at the Radiology Department.
