ISLAMABAD: Abdullah Aftab beat Abdullah Shafqat in deciding super tiebreak to win men’s singles title of the Major Ishaq Shaheed Tennis Championship that concluded at the Sirajul Haq Tennis Club, Westridge In a nail-bitter Abdullah Aftab won 5-7, 6-3, 10-8 to annex the title. Maj Gen Rehan Abdul Baqi, who is also President Sirajul Haq Tennis Club, and Talat Mehmood Gondal, Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, were the guests of honour. Both presented the shields and trophies to the participants (winners & runners- ups) of the different categories Major Ishaq Shaheed Twin City Tennis Championship. A special appearance was made by Maj Ishaq Shaheed’s unit’s officer Lt Zahid (21 Medium Unit). Lt. Zahid delivered a brief speech on Major Ishaq Shaheed’s life and his services to the Army and nation.
