The Peshawar Zoo was opened with much fanfare last week. A large number of people visited the zoo, however, their entire trip ended in disappointment. This is because there was nothing to see there. A majority of cages were empty and only had the pictures of animals.
People have two questions: 1) Why was the zoo opened for the people when it was incomplete? 2) Was this launch an attempt by the incumbent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to increase the vote bank of the party? It is hoped that the BRT project is not met with the same fate.
