SUKKUR: A political show of the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) formed against the PPP was held at Moro in Naushahro Feroze on Sunday. Pir Syed Sibghatullah Shah Rashdi, commonly known as Pir Pagara and head of the GDA, while addressing a grand political show at Moro, said that Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif created troubles for the country as well as the nation as one was attempting to bring the masses on the roads against the army and the judiciary while the other had threatened the army of dire consequences. He said the Pakistan Army and Rangers had restored peace in Karachi and added that both forces have almost eliminated terrorists.

He said that the exploitation of peasants and growers was going on at an alarming scale as they had been deprived of good rates of their crops. He added that the growers of sugarcane were being exploited despite the orders issued by the courts.

He said the rulers were exploiting the judiciary and the army for their personal gains. He asked if the country’s institutions are destroyed, how the country will progress. The rulers consider institutions as their personal property, he said. He said that there was no encouragement of dedicated officers, adding that such officers were sent home by the rulers. He said the masses were welcoming the leaders of the GDA, because the other political leaders were not motivating the masses as they believe in loot and discrimination.

He said that political future of the GDA is bright and added that the candidates of the GDA will win in the upcoming elections. He said that the high courts and the Supreme Court were running the administrative affairs of the country due to the failure of the administrative institutions. He said the courts were taking suo motu notices when the government was not resolving issues of the public.

He said the PPP in Punjab and the PML-N in Sindh were not visible, but it is beyond his understanding how the PPP would bring its prime minister in Pakistan. He said that the friendship between Nawaz and Zardari destroyed the political future of both of them. He said the PPP had broken all records of corruption. He said that this would not be 2013 elections, in which the election results were manipulated.

Federal Minister Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi said that the GDA would rid the people of Sindh from the Zardari mafia. He said that 17 sugar mills sucked the blood of sugarcane growers.

Syed Ghous Ali Shah said that they were supporting the Pakistan Army and the judiciary. He said that Nawaz Sharif had been removed for being dishonest, but he was frequently asking why he was removed.

Arbab Ghulam Rahim said that after the Senate election, there would be a tough time for the rulers. He said that the government might not complete its remaining four-month rule. He said he had declared Zardari the killer of Benazir Bhutto, but at that time Zulfiqar Mirza and others did not trust his words, but now they were repeating his words.

He said that the Movement for Restoration of Democracy (MRD) was an alliance like the GDA and added that the GDA would become stronger in the coming days and there was not any question of its being divided. He said that there was not any deal, but they had provided time to the government. However, now their days had ended.

He said that the looters and plunderers would be hanged. He said that the judiciary had narrowed down them while dynastic politics and political mafias were deteriorating the political norms. Like Rao Anwar in Sindh, there was Abid Boxer in Punjab.

Dr Zulfiqar Mirza said that Zia Lanjar used to serve them tea at the Zardari House. He promised that the GDA would hold accountability of the Zardari Mafia and would recover from them all the looted public money.

He said that the plot to kill him was staged by Zardari so that he could not contest election. He said that he was challenging Zardari to kill him, if he dared so as he will pass through his native place while moving towards Badin. He, on that occasion, reiterated upon the masses to reject Zardari and his candidates in the general election. He said that Rao Anwar killed many innocent people on the orders of Zardari because Zardari used him like a tool to carry out land grabbing and for other crimes.

Ayaz Lateef Palejo said that Zardari had rewarded Rao Anwar terming him as a brave child. He said that they wanted the rule of law, which would be same for all the people living in the country, incuding minorities. He said that the GDA would protect the rights of the people of Sindh. Nusrat Sehar Abbasi and others also addressed the grand political show of the GDA.
