Protest against police for ‘lifting’ couple in Faisalabad
FAISALABAD: Residents of a nearby village of Chak Jhumra on Saturday staged a demonstration against the area police for lifting a couple who had recently contracted love marriage.
The protesters gathered at Chowk Zila Council and chanted slogans against Chak Jhumra police for allegedly forcibly entering the house of the couple and lifting them. Later, the police high ups rushed to the spot and assured the protesters that the couple would be recovered soon.
special vocational training programme: The Punjab Skill Development Fund (PSDF) will launch a special vocational training programme exclusively for Faisalabad from July. It was said by PSDF Chief Executive Officer Jawad Khan while addressing the members of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry here on Saturday.
