ISLAMABAD: Three foreigners and a local player have made it to the main round of Syed Tajammul Abbas ITF Pakistan World Junior Ranking Tennis Championships at S Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad.
Wei Chen Chang, Lui Chen-Hsui, Wen-Yi Chou (TPE) and Huzafia Abdul Rehman (Pakistan) qualified for the main draw.
Wei Chen Chang (TPE) was in fine touch and whitewashed his opponent Sameer Ahmed (Pakistan) in straight set 6-0 6-0. In the second qualification match Wen-Yi Chou (TPE) also displayed quality tennis and won his match against Ahmar Saeed of Pakistan without conceding a single game.
Lui Chen-Hsui (TPE) struggled to win his match against Subhan Bin Salik (Pakistan) in a well contested two set match 6-3 6-4.
Huzafia Abdul Rehman being the top seed of qualifying draw also moved in the main draw of boys’ singles event. Players from India, Hong Kong, Turkey, Malaysia have arrived.
