MARDAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Mardan chapter, on Saturday staged a rally against District Nazim Himayatullah Mayar for allegedly creating hurdles in the development works in the district.
Chanting slogans against the district nazim, the PTI workers in large numbers reached Bacha Khan Chowk in shape of processions to attend the rally.
Speaking on the occasion, the speakers including district president and lawmaker of PTI Iftikhar Ali Mashwani, Member National Assembly (MNA) Mujahid Khan, MPA Zahid Durrani, MPA Toufail Anjum, Umar Farooq Kakahel, Ameer Farzand, Shah Faisal Khan and others criticised the district nazim and said the district nazim was interfering in the institutions and misbehaving with doctors.
They alleged that the nazim created hurdles in the development works in the district. They added that more than 8 first information reports (FIRs) under deferent sections were registered against him in the previous governments and majority of those FIRs were still pending.
They said that ANP district president is frightened from the PTI’s popularity in the district and he had started attacking the institutions and their heads.
They added that PTI compelled Himayatullah Mayar to seek apology from the doctors of MMC, which is an achievement of PTI to strengthen the institutions. Later, the protesters dispersed.
