PHC seals 14 quack clinics
LAHORE: Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) Thursday shut 14 fake treatment centres of quacks and started inestigation against them.
The sealed centres included Ijaz Clinic, Zia Clinic, Shafi Medical Store, Kamran Clinic, Rasheed Clinic, Farhan Medical Store, Aun-o-Muhammad Clinic, Rana Clinic and Rasheed Clinic. The bone-setters were Tahir Jarrah, Ali Hajvery Aaza Band Centre, Azam Jarrah Pehalwan, Shah Din Jarrah and The Dental Solutions.
ACE: Punjab Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) Director General Brig (retd) Muzzaffar Ali Ranjha on Thursday chaired a monthly conference of directors and reviewed the progress in the ongoing cases.
According to Anti Corruption Establishment Punjab Deputy Director Sadia Ijaz, the DG ordered the officials concerned to complete the probes into the cases pending since 2015 till April 2018. He also told the officials to recover the looted money from the accused persons. The DG also directed the regional directors to visit the circle and Tehsil offices of the Anti Corruption Establishment to speed up the ongoing inquiries.
