MANSEHRA: Maryam Nawaz, the daughter of deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif, would address a public gathering in Baffa on February 16.
“We will extend a warm welcome to Maryam Nawaz on her arrival in Baffa on Friday to address social media convention,” Member Provincial Assembly Saleh Mohammad Khan told reporters on Tuesday.
He said it would be first public appearance of Maryam in Mansehra since her marriage to Mohammad Safdar almost three decades ago.
The MPA said that preparations for her arrival and mega event were well in progress and party workers were approaching people to invite them to that social media related event. “This is an era of technology and social media and Maryam would sensitise workers on use of this medium to achieve party targets through participation of youths,” he went on to add.
