LAHORE: An Anti-Terrorism Court on Tuesday sentenced three persons to life for their involvement in a children abuse scandal of Kasur of 2015.
ATC Judge Chaudhary Muhammd Ilyas announced the conviction after the suspects were found guilty of abusing minors. The judge also imposed a fine of Rs 300,000 on each Haseem Amir, Waseem Sindhi and Aleem Arif.
Ghanda Singh Wala police, Kasur, had lodged an FIR against 25 persons allegedly involved in torturing and abusing children in Kasur district. According to police, at least 300 children were abused in the village. The majority of victims were around 14 years of age but there were two victims who were below 10 years. Over 400 videos recording of more than 280 children had surfaced three years ago while parents and victim families took to the streets.
It is the district where 12 young girls including Zainab Amin were raped and murdered. Imran Ali, the alleged rapist and serial killer, is undergoing trial at Kot Lakhpat jail.
