Peshawar now has a cycling academy

PESHAWAR: A cycling academy on Friday was inaugurated here at the Peshawar Sports Complex.Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Junaid Khan formally inaugurated the academy — first ever cycling facility in the country.
KP Cycling Association president Nisar Ahmed, international cyclists Murad Ali, Basit Khan were also present on the occasion. “The academy was established with an aim to teach modern techniques to young and aspiring cyclists in the province,” said Nisar.
He added that techniques and skills would be imparted to the trainees at the facility. He also thanked KP Directorate of Sports for providing space at the Peshawar Sports Complex for the academy.
