KOHAT: Seven cops deployed at a checkpost were sent to the police lines and investigation was ordered against them for alleged misuse of powers here on Friday.
District Police Officer (DPO) Abbas Majeed Marwat took the action on mounting public complaints of receiving bribes and misuse of authority by the cops manning the Muslimabad Police Checkpost in the district.
The DPO closed all the cops to the police lines and ordered an investigation into the charges against them. He said any cops would not be allowed to misuse their powers.
