PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced to organise a workers convention in the provincial assembly constituency PK-9 on February 11.
Speaking at a news conference at the Press Club on Tuesday, the PTI leader, Nawabzada Shakeel Afridi, said that a central leader and Member National Assembly Ali Muhammad Khan from Mardan district would be chief guest at the convention.
The MNA from Kohat Sheheryar Afridi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, MPAs Sajid Nawaz and Mehmud Jan will be several other participants.
Flanked by PTI tribal leader, Nawabzada Fazal Karim Afridi, district president of Labour Wing, Saeed Khan, naib nazim Town-II Naeem Ali Shah, activists Tahir Ahmad Khan, and Hamzala Khan from PK-9, Shakeel Afridi said the party central and provincial leaders along with youth and ISF leaders had been invited to the event.
Shakeel Afridi hoped the party leaders would unveil a future strategy and highlight the overall performance of the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government during last four and half years in the province.
The PTI leader expressed concern over ignoring ideological workers of the party in district Peshawar, which, he said, had increased disappointment among the workers. He observed that lack of attention and proper coordination by the party provincial secretariat had created a huge gap between the party and the workers.
