Charges framed against eight accused in DI Khan girl’s stripping case

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Additional District and Sessions Court on Tuesday formally framed charges against the accused involved in the girl stripping case in the district.

The judge of the Additional District and Sessions Court-VI, Arbab Aziz Ahmad, ordered the framing of the charges against the eight accused arrested in the case. The accused were produced in the court where the witnesses were also directed to appear. All the accused pleaded not guilty. The two accused Shahjehan and Gulistan, who had earlier pleaded guilty, retracted from their statements and pleaded not guilty.

Sanaullah Shamim Gandapur and Imran Gandapur represented the accused while Ahmad Ali Advocate gave arguments on behalf of the affected girl in the hearing. The eight

accused arrested in the case included Nasir, Shahjehan, Aslam, Gulistan, Ramzan, Sanaullah, Ikram and Said Muhammad while the prime accused Sajawal was an absconder in the case.

Meanwhile, the cops of Chudwan Police Station arrested the alleged facilitator of Sajawal, the main accused in the case. The arrested alleged facilitator was identified as Naimatullah, who allegedly provided shelter to the accused. A case was registered against him under the section-216 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
