Kashmir XI beat PSB in hockey match
ISLAMABAD: Kashmir XI beat Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) XI 1-0 in an exhibition hockey match played in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day here at the Bunda Hockey Ground Monday.
Centre half Muhammad Essa scored the only goal of the match in the 6th minute of first half. The PSB-XI could not avail goal scoring opportunities and also missed five penalty corners. Hayat and Dost Ali Muneeb gave an excellent exhibition of stick work.
In the football match, PSB XI defeated Kashmir-XI 7-6 on penalty kicks at the Jinnah Stadium.Ministry of IPC secretary Syed Abu Ahmed Akif and Mrs Mishal Malik were the chief guests and distributed prizes among the teams. PSB Director General Dr M Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera, DDG Dr Waqar Ahmed, Director Media Azam Dar and sizeable crowd were also present on the occasion.
