USAID starts construction at IUB From Our Correspondent BAHAWALPUR: The USAID has started construction of a building at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur at approximate cost of Rs 270 million for the department of the Educational Training. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Qaiser Mushtaq stated this in a meeting with Ahmar Sohail, USAID resident engineer, and Dr Irshad Hussain, Chairman department of Educational Training. The VC said the state-of-the-art building will be equipped with latest audio visual facilities and will be energy efficient. The building will also be friendly for special people having all necessary facilities for them, the VC said. The VC said BEd, MPhil and PhD classes will start in the new building. The VC thanked USAID for selecting IUB for this project. BODY IN BAG FOUND: A body of an elderly man wrapped in a bag was found near Chikanwala Chowk on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Sabir, 65, of Model Town B Bahawalpur, and he was strangled by unknown killers.
