Known as a game changer, the $45billion CPEC projects has no parallel in the Pakistan-China history of mutual cooperation. A huge investment of this magnitude has, in fact, never ever been made before in Pakistan by any country. Since the project will contribute to Pakistan’s economic growth, some external enemies are trying to sabotage it. For example, India, for obvious reasons, does not want this project to see the light of the day. As usual, India seems to be deeply engrossed in finding ways and means to malign the project by raising undue hue and cry.
This stance of India endorses the concerns expressed by Pakistan, time and again, that India is creating unrest in the country with the expressed intent of sabotaging CPEC that is being called a game changer for the region. One wishes that India will look beyond its self-interest and focus on the larger interest of the region. This way, it can help bring economic stability to the region.
