GUJRANWALA: An education expo was held here under the aegis of Jang Group on Wednesday.
The exhibition was jointly inaugurated by Gujranwala Mayor Shiekh Sarwat Ikram and Deputy Commissioner Sohail Ahmed Tipu. People from different walks of life and students visited the expo.
More than 40 educational institutions have setup their stalls in the exhibition. Earlier, successful The News Education Expos were held in different cities, including Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Faisalabad and Multan by the Jang Group. A large number of students and parents thronged to the expo and lauded the efforts of Jang Media Group.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Gujranwala Mayor Sarwat Ikram said no nation can progress without education.
“We appreciate and acknowledge the Jang Group for successfully conducting this education expo. Jang Group plays pivotal role in the field of education.
Promoting education is among the priorities of Jang Group and today it seems that Jang Group supercedes Punjab government in the field of education,” he added.
Deputy Commissioner Sohail Ahmed Tipu said that Jang Group had proved that it was on the forefront not only in the journalistic circles but also in the education field. “All departments should work in unison for the development of the country. Organising such expos is related to the future of our children. I pay tribute to Jang Group for successfully organising this expo.” Gujranwala Chief Traffic Officer Asif Cheema, journalist Rana Ansar, Usman Khalil, Shan Baig, Lala Imran, Director Marketing North Sadia Sharif, General Manager Marketing Operation Amjad Saeed and other staff members of Jang Group Marketing attended the ceremony. Later, the DC distributed souvenirs among the stall holders.
