Siraj says JI to continue efforts for FCR abolition
KHAR: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) head Senator Sirajul Haq said on Monday his party efforts for abolition of Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) would continue till the tribal areas were mainstreamed. Talking to reporters during his visit to Bajaur Agency, he asked the government to stop what he believed were delaying tactics and take steps for addressing the grievances of the people of Fata.
The JI leadership from Bajaur Agency was present on the occasion. He also met government officials and offered fateha over the death of wife of Additional Political Agent Muhammad Ali Khan.
Sirajul Haq visited the residence of deceased JI leader Maulana Jan Zamin who had died last week. The JI leader said that Jan Zamin was an asset to his party, adding that the deceased had participated in the Afghan jihad.
