Neglected Rojhan
The issue upon which I want to draw the attention of the authorities concerned relates to the pathetic condition of Rojhan, a city in Punjab. The area has been facing so many problems including, but not limited to, low literacy rate, poor drainage system, a poor level of infrastructure and broken roads. Education serves as the backbone for the development of a country. But in Rojhan, an acute shortage of schools has deprived aspiring students of their rights.
The provincial government’s development projects are limited to big cities, including Lahore. However, the relevant authorities have not paid attention to the plight of the people living in Rojhan. The healthcare department in the city is in shambles. In the absence of state-of-the-art hospitals, patients suffering from serious diseases meet with a slow and painful death.
