Woman went missing two years ago found dead From Our Correspondent OKARA: A married woman, who went missing about two years ago, was found dead in the deserted house of her mother here. Widow Naziran Bibi and her daughter Nabila Bibi alias Sabri Bibi had shifted to Okara City from Chichawatni about four years ago. After shifting to Okara, Nabila contracted love marriage with Asad Ali alias Munna of Chak 331/GB, Toba Tek Singh district, in 2011. Soon after the marriage, differences developed between the couple. Asad ousted his wife Nabila from his house and she started living with her mother. About two years ago, Nabila went missing while her mother Naziran also disappeared. On Monday night, Naziran with some other women reached her deserted house, which was stinking. On searching, they found the body of Nabila. On information, Sadr police reached the spot and took the body into custody. Police have registered a case against Asad, Rafiq, Ramzana and others. Police have also taken Naziran into custody on suspicion and are interrogating her.
ADHQ Hospital MS beaten in office by nine assailants From Our Correspondent OKARA: The Additional DHQ Hospital South City medical superintendent was manhandled and beaten by nine people in his office here on Tuesday. ADHQ Hospital MS Dr Iftikhar Ahmad Khan was present in his office when Farooq, Khalid alias Goga and Panu along with their six unidentified accomplices entered and allegedly beat him. Meanwhile, doctors and paramedics observed strike against the incident. Later, Pakistan Medical Association president Dr Shahid Dogar and Dr Liaqat Ali met the DPO and told him about the incident. The DPO called DSP Farooq Kamyana and assigned him the task to arrest the assailants. Police have arrested an accused, Farooq, and are interrogating him.
