Burney visits Working Boundary

SIALKOT: The United Nations former Expert Adviser on Human Rights and Chairman of Ansar Burney Trust International, Ansar Burney and his wife Shaheen Burney visited Pakistan Bharat Working Boundary in Sialkot and met the bereaved families of those who were martyred because of shameful act of Indian Army’s shelling and firing on innocent civilians from across the border, says a press release on Tuesday.
During his Sialkot visit Pakistan’s former federal minister for human rights, Ansar Burney also visited towns and villages affected due to unprovoked Indian firing along the working boundary and met civilians who suffered from Indian violence against human dignity and disrespect for borders.
He diverted the attention of the United Nations and all those countries who really believe in Peace that repeated Indian ceasefire violations on working boundary and line of control, in the recent past are a distraction for Pakistan from its campaign against terrorism and adversely affect regional stability.
While expressing solidarity with the affected villagers, human rights living legend, Ansar Burney paid rich tributes to their resilience and spirit. He also said that the entire nation stood united along with its armed forces while defending the motherland. Ansar Burney also visited the graveyard at the border and offered ‘fateha’ for the souls of the martyrs.
