ISLAMABAD: In a rare move, Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani will have a meeting with Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar at the Supreme Court on Wednesday afternoon (today) on judicial reforms.
Chairman Senate said in the letter he mentioned the key recommendations on speedy justice and judicial reforms made by the Senate Committee of the Whole during its series of meetings, one of which was also attended and addressed by then Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali. The letter also contained the pieces of legislation done by the Senate as well as the National Assembly in this connection
He then apprised the House business advisory committee during its meeting on Monday. Rabbani will meet the chief justice on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at the apex court building.
He pointed out there was a meeting with the Chinese ambassador on Tuesday on this count as well.
